We are now offering even more MultiDance ProAm Dance Scholarships!!!

In 2008, Scholarships in all styles in both A and B age divisions are now:

Closed Bronze
Closed Silver
Open Gold and above.

...and unbelievable but true although Virginia State 2007 top teacher price money was the highest amount ever awarded. We are increasing it in 2008!!!

Amateur Competitors

Change in the Novice and Pre – Champ Divisions:
Amateur Standard Division changed from 5 dances to 4 dances. Now the dances are (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep) No Viennese Waltz.
Amateur Latin Division changed from 5 dances to 4 dances: Now the dances are (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive.) No Paso Doble.

Rosendo and Kathryn would like to thank all of our participants and supporters for the great success of the 2007 Virginia State Dancesport Championship. We’d like to wish you all wonderful things in 2008, and we are looking forward to you joining us again in Reston, Virginia, at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel on July 17 – 20, 2008.

It is with great enthusiasm that we would like to invite you to attend the 45th Annual Celebration of the Virginia State DanceSport Championships. We would like to thank all the dancers and helpers that have supported us over the years.
We are hosting the Virginia State DanceSport Championships at the totally remodeled Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia. This resort-like hotel offers superior accommodations with the comfort and satisfaction of guests in mind. Located in Reston Town Center, the Hyatt provides easy access to shops, restaurants, golf course, biking and jogging trails, as well as its own fitness club, and a magnificent 12,300 square foot Grand Ballroom. Whether you are an avid Dance Sport competitor or ballroom dancing enthusiast, you will not be disappointed and will leave the event wanting to attend for many years to come.

To those that have been loyal to The Virginia State Championships over the years, we ask you to continue to be with us as we strive to produce this competition in its noble tradition. To those that have not been here before, we ask you to give the Virginia State Championships a try. We know you will like it.
We can promise you this…... all who attend will be treated as an honored guest and you will be in the company of the finest and friendliest dancers and aficionados to be found anywhere.
