The Virginia State Dancesport Championships organizers are enthusiastic supporters of amateur competitors. As the Virginia State Dancesport Championships is an N.D.C.A. sanctioned event, the event must comply with N.D.C.A. rules and regulations. One of the rules stipulates that amateur competitors must be registered with the N.D.C.A. in order to compete in an N.D.C.A. sanctioned event. |

Couples qualifying for these categories should select the appropriate age group(s) on the entry form. Couples must both meet the age requirement. The age of an individual is determined by the age reached during the calendar year whether or not it precedes the date of the competition.
